Mission
To provide basic
school supplies to families in need, giving their children an opportunity for
success based on ability rather than economic advantage.
Operation Back to
School is an all volunteer effort serving at-risk children in El Paso and
Teller counties. Established in 1991, the program has grown to provide
supplies for approximately 3,000 children each year.
Christmas Unlimited
adopted Operation Back to School in 1997 at the urging of community
leaders. For eighty-three years Christmas Unlimited has provided for
families in need during the holidays.
A Letter to You
For a moment imagine you are a carpenter and show up on the job
site with only a pencil and a hammer. You're told to start framing a
house -- no nails, no saw, no square, no level. How can anyone expect
your to do your job without the right materials?
At the start of every school year, thousands of children throughout El
Paso and Teller counties are asked to do just that. To start school
without the tools and supplies to frame their house, the ones they will live in
for the rest of their lives--education.
We need your help to insure that these children have the tools to
successfully build their future
